![]() ![]() ![]() This function is very useful when copying or backing up important files, and can prevent damage such as the backed up file being damaged or unusable. Compare the copy speed of FastCopy and Windows Verifying takes 1.5 to 2 times longer than normal copying, but it is reliable. I compared the completion times by copying the A and B folders between different HDDs which tend to be slow. "Folder A" contains various types of files such as documents, media files, and ISO files (number of files: 912), and "Folder B" contains compressed video files ranging from 200MB to 1.5GB. This is the containing folder (number of files: 47).įastCopy gave faster results in both cases, but in the case of "Folder B", the default buffer value of FastCopy (256) took about 12 minutes, so the buffer was set to 1024 (others are default settings). So it seems better to change the FastCopy buffer value depending on the case. There are several tools that claim to be "fast copies", but in our testing of the three tools, only FastCopy was faster than Windows. ![]()
